The Garden
West Cork Creates 2016
An exhibition of collaborative work Curated by Alison Ospina
The O’Driscoll Building Skibbereen Skibbereen
My dad and I, with land connected, decided that this was a perfect opportunity to work together.
I painted The Gate, and my dad, Pat Connor Artist - Sculptor, painter, printmaker, draughtsman, made three ceramic birds which eventually sat on a very special chair in front of it.
The chair had been given to me by a very good friend a year or so previous. It had been her fathers and I had promised her that one day it would find it’s way into a work of art.
We hung the gate a distance from the wall and placed the rusty memories and on a raised framed surface of artificial grass on which the party of birds gathered
